Lulu is very shy. She sometimes even struggles to feel confident enough to take something directly from your hand, but she will take it if you put it in a small bowl and hold it. She does however stay close, and is comfortable especially when you are quiet and calm. She has a lovey black face, totally smooth, with no tufts anywhere, and her fleece is brown.

Bart is about 5 – 6 years old. He is incredibly tender, and enjoys gentle stroking on his face. He connects quickly to humans, and is pure joy to have around. His fleece is thick and white, and he has wrinkles on his cheeks which give him the most wonderful expression.

Teo was born in December 2024, so is still young. Sheep stop growing at around 2 years, and get their full teeth at 5 years, so there is still a lot of growing for him to do! He has the cutest fact, and sometimes, while eating a treat, will allow gentle stroking under his chin. He tends to stay close to his mother Mimi, but can also be seen with the other sheep. He has very thick white fleece, as he has not been sheared yet.

Mimi is Teo’s mother. She is very confident, and loves treats, and can also be stroked gently. She has a tendency to ask for your full attention especially when there are carrots involved! She is definitely the dominant one in this group. Mimi has a beautiful black face with tufts on top of her head, and her fleece is a soft brown.

Kokoro is our most confident chicken resident. She loves humans, and is so comfortable that she will even fall asleep on your lap. She is very funny, loves music (she plays with the xylophone), as well as jewelry (good luck trying to keep your bracelet), and snuggles. She is super soft, and very sweet. She arrived with the other 5 chickens when still young, and though she was debeaked, a very brutal process where baby chickens have the tip of their beak sliced off without pain relief, she has moved on and is all about love!

Ponzu is an egg-laying hen, born in July 2024 and welcomed to the sanctuary in October 2024. She is darker, like Kokoro, and is also very confident. She loves flowers and eating sweetcorn. She always wants to sit on a human.

She loves gentle stroking and cares more about your attention than treats.

She is always running around, and is very playful. She once stole a hairband and then ran off with it. She is very funny.

She is often doing her own thing, and comes to you when you are also alone. She does not fight for attention but is so grateful and sweet when she gets it.

She is really big, and a messy eater, and we love how she runs through the mud and then jumps on your lap. She creates chaos, but it is worth it!

Coco, Luna, Holly and Maggie. These are our dogs and they are temporary residents, as they normally live in Tokyo. Luna was taken off the streets as a puppy, and it took a long time for us to touch her but is now so loving. Maggie is loud and crazy but cute. Holly and Coco are very old, from when we still lived in London, but still very fit. All our dogs are vegan and super healthy! We have had 3 more rescues, who we took care of until they passed away, either due to age or illness, in the safety and love of our home.
